About AlpineConsent
Most cookie-consent tools are built for everyone, which in practice means they're built for enterprise-scale sites — hundreds of kilobytes of JavaScript, a banner that visibly delays first paint, and a pricing page aimed at marketing teams running dozens of properties. AlpineConsent starts from a narrower brief: a site on ordinary hosting should be able to comply without carrying that weight, and without paying for features it will never use.
AlpineConsent is built and run by a small team based in Austria, working on the product directly — no outsourced support queue, no account-manager layer between a bug report and the person who fixes it.
The name evokes the Alps — the mountain range spanning Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, the DACH region where the GDPR and national rules (the Austrian TKG 2021, the German TDDDG) are enforced most strictly. “Made in Austria, EU-hosted” is treated as a genuine purchasing criterion for the audience we build for, not a slogan.
What's live today goes beyond a banner: a public scanner that audits any website's actual scripts and cookies — including ours, if you want to check — real Free, Pro, Business, and Enterprise plans with working billing, and a signed, auto-updating WordPress plugin. We also publish honest comparisons against other consent platforms — no pricing claims we can't back up, and no competitor named without a sourced basis.
